Novels
The Shiva Paradox (In Progress)
ADAM Bravo is an intergalactic killer, part of an elite special force that uses a special virus to wipe away entire Earth-like civilizations to make room for incoming colonists seeking a home after the destruction of their home planet. The Shiva Apparatus in his brain, designed to keep him serene and docile during years of rough missions and space travel, is failing. He's losing control of his emotions and his memory, and worse yet, he meets a woman on his home space station who claims to know him intimately and that she's there to save his life. He thinks he's finally losing his mind when, soon after, the station is eradicated by a rogue asteroid field, setting into motion a chain of events that lands him on 26th century Earth, during an idyllic period in human civilization, long before his kind was ever conceived. There he meets the strange woman again. Only this time, she doesn't know him, and he learns she's part of a deep corporate espionage plot intended to save the planet's future. Only Bravo's presence on Earth threatens all of her team's work, and human civilization itself, which leaves Bravo to wonder... How did she know him three-hundred years in the future?

Colt Coltrane and the Lotus Killer (In Progress)
In this dieselpunk noir that takes place in 1947, LAPD homicide detective and PETE, his robotic partner, work together to find out who's behind a string of murdered Japanese girls along the L.A. River. However, Colt soon finds that what's lurking behind these murders is far more gruesome and horrifying than anything he ever could have imagined, and he finds himself soon wading through not only the underbelly of corruption in his department, but also the filthy guts of the city itself, where the ugly truth lurks, and is hungry.

The Stargazers (Completed April 2011)
For the Stargazer witches, ugliness is a badge of honor. The mere act of giving birth reduces them from  beautiful young women to shriveled crones and social outcasts, but it’s the price of passing on their precious Old Magic and ensuring the protection of their world. Aster, the youngest and fairest of the Stargazer coven, must make the greatest sacrifice of all, for she is to be the Great Mother of the child that will save their world from encroaching darkness for generations. The child must be fathered by a man of Earth, and Aster follows in the footsteps of her ancestors and travels to our world in search of a suitable mate. All the while, she struggles with the knowledge that she must sacrifice her child's life upon the Giving Altar.

Haunted by her impossible choice and overwhelmed by the technology of our world, Aster eventually finds friendship and love. But her contentment doesn’t last. Oleander, Aster’s devious aunt, has been engineering a plan for years to gain control of her family and eventually their world, and Aster is the only obstacle in her path. Aster soon discovers she has two worlds to save. Will she follow the path laid for her by generations of Stargazers, or will she find another solution and finally lay claim to her own life and destiny?

Scarlet Letters: The Tale of the Vampire Mailman (Completed March 2010, available on Smashwords, Kindle, and Nook and coming soon in a print edition!)
Scarlet Letters is an urban fantasy satire that attempts to use the wit of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to turn everything we thought we knew about vampires on its ear. Louis Cross is an average, unassuming mailman from the tiny hamlet of Chagrin Falls, MN turned reluctant vampire after his doctor, Kristoph Marx (also a vampire), injects him and most of the town residents with the bloodsucker virus Sanguinophagial Vrykosis in an effort to rejuvenate the shrinking immortal population. When Louis and his friends, Stan Beechman and Sera Ricci, discover far more sinister elements to Marx's plan, they must band together to save Chagrin Falls. Meanwhile, Louis must not only learn what it means to be a vampire, but also what it means to be hero.

The Last Supper (in progress)
A dystopian science-fiction epic, The Last Supper explores a population ravaged by a massive grain blight brought about by the extensive genetic modification of corn, and the heavily theocratic government (calling itself "The Authority") that rises from the chaos. In order to assuage the God they believe was angered by science's attempts to mess with creation, the Authority engages in a eugenic practice called Justification, which requires citizens to pass a test every five years to prove their righteousness and earn the right to live. Those who fail are sent a Last Supper, which is both a condemned person's final meal and means of death. John Welland, an otherwise obedient citizen who grew up under the Authority's thumb, is put on the wrong end of this system and chooses to rebel against the Authority when he loses his wife to Justification. From here we follow along in an epic journey with John and an underground resistance known as the Absolution Railroad, through a world that holds much bigger and graver mysteries than John had ever dreamed.

Archer's Velvet (in progress)
This surreal fantasy adventure follows Avery Pruitt, a professional ghostwriter who has carved a niche for herself in the literary world as a "finisher," someone who completes the great works left behind by authors who die before their time. Only, Avery never expected her best friend David Harper would become a client following a shocking suicide. As she embarks on the task of finishing the final novel of his epic fantasy series entitled Archer's Velvet, Avery discovers her friend had tapped into otherworldly forces that tore his mind apart and now threaten the universe itself. Avery's quest to finish her dear friend's work is now a race to rescue the collective unconscious, in a world where flowers talk, giant hares reign as sages, and little creatures known as "Parvems" hold the answer to rescuing the human imagination.

The Oilman's Daughter (collaborative novel with author Ian Thomas Healy, in development)
In this steampunk/alternate history epic, the son of an orbital railroad tycoon and a band of space pirates pursue a young woman who holds the secret to an oil refining technology that could change the world's landscape as they know it. More updates will be added as the project progresses.
